Bobby Lee and Lindsay Lohan Star In “Underground Comedy”

Picture 3

There’s always that one crappy film waiting to come out each year that has the worst cast, plot, and one-liners and this is that movie. I couldn’t even tell you what the synopsis is because the amount of ridiculousness and stupidness this trailer holds was enough for me to stop it at the 30 second mark. But the reason for putting this up was to give comedian Bobby Lee some love even though his role in the flick looks stereotypical and foolish as hell.

KevJumba VS. IYAZ

20100728-keviyaz1aatheory

No lie, I thought this was going to be great when it was just going to be a “track recording,” but this was way funnier!

Kevin Wu (KevJumba) and Warner Brothers recording star IYAZ (iyazlive) recently made a duo video where Kevin was trying to get IYAZ to record a track with him. Knowing he can’t sing, Kevin challenged IYAZ to a ping pong contest. The contest ensues, leading up to the duo in the recording studio. This video was hilarious! Check it out here and support IYAZ’s new EP So Big.

The feud continues…Colbert vs. Rain

colbertrain

Who remembers the long, bitter, and rather one-sided “rivalry” between comedian Stephen Colbert and Asia’s superstar Rain? Well, after Rain walked away with the MTV Movie Award for “Biggest Baddass Star”, Colbert decided it was time to poke fun at his arch nemesis once again. In case you missed it, Colbert did a comical satire on Rain back in 2008 when Rain topped Time magazine’s most influential top 100 people that year. And let’s not forget the dance-off that Rain so handily won.

Two years later, Colbert revives the oh-so-bitter rivalry and tells us his reason why Rain won the “Biggest Badass Star”:

“Last week, MTV gave out their annual movie award. But I didn’t even get a nomination. Hey MTV, what about my voice over work in the ‘Bounty Hunter’? But what MTV did next shocked me more than if they had played a music video. (Cue drawn-out fist-pumping scream) Raaaaaaaiiiin! Yes Rain! My Kpop arch-nemesis. A man who takes true pleasure in beating me at things. From Time.com’s most influential person…to out-selling my Korean pop single…and now he wins for ‘Ninja Assassin’? Clearly he only won the ‘Badass Award’ because his movie has the word ‘ass’ in the title twice. And was bad.”

He added, “But you know who didn’t appeared in that movie? Me. Who’s the better ninja now.”

Oh Colbert, you silly man.

Margaret Cho Believes Lesbians Make The Best Comedians

margaret-cho

Korean American comedian Margaret Cho is known for her humor and outlandish personality and comments. She’s never been the one to hide behind stereotypes or as she puts it, “what men think.” In an interview with The Frisky, Cho reveals why she believes lesbians make better comedians.

It’s interesting; a lot of women who are successful in comedy are lesbians. Or they have a fluid kind of gender identity, like I do. I am very fluid in that capacity. [Cho has had relationships with both men and women. She is currently married to a man.] But you can’t really be a successful female comic if you give a s**t what guys think at all. So a lot of heterosexual women end up dropping out because they just care too much about what guys think. I think that’s why there’s always lesbians who take over because they don’t care. It’s just an element to their personalities that helps them get by.

Cho says a lot of things that I disagree with but she has an interesting point here. What’s your opinion about this subject? Do lesbians make better comedians?
