Jason Momoa to play the new Conan

No, not Conan O’Brien. Conan the Barbarian. Remember this?

Despite ‘Twilight’ actor Kellan Lutz confirming his status as a “Conan contender” just last week, Stargate Atlantis star Jason Momoa beat him out and is lined up to play the sword-swinging oaf of a man. The past image of the governator may be seared into your brain, but I’m fairly convinced that the new Conan the Barbarian will be more pleasing to the eye.

Jason Momoa, whose father was a Native Hawaiian, also has another project in the works. He’ll be appearing on HBO’s “Game of Thrones”, which is another fantasy series he can add onto his resume.
