If you do not know J.R. Aquino, you my friend have been missing out on an amazing voice.

J.R. Aquino is an upcoming Filipino American singer/songwriter originally from Anchorage, Alaska. (Yee! Rep the AK!) He now resides in New York, New York.

For those who are fans of American Idol, do recognize him from somewhere?

Yup, that’s him. He participated in the Season 4 edition of Fox’s American Idol and made it in the Top 44. That’s pretty good considering it is definitely something to “make it to Hollywood.”

Every little bit of “exposure” counts and Aquino is ready to make his mark on the music scene.  He has been active for the past four years and one big thing has come up that he would like to announce to you:

That’s right, his digital album “Exposure” will be out January 19, 2010. Cop it when it comes out! His sound will be something completely different… It’s gonna be Acoustic, Pop, R&B, Rock, all fused together or as Aquino says “Rock + R&B.. Rock & B.” “Rock & B” sounds promising.
